About the Role

CHC Helicopter/Heli-One is searching for a Logistics Manager to join our organization! Also known as the Stores/Warehouse Manager, the responsibilities include day-to-day operations of stores at RZE locations, as well as personnel on site. The main scope of work will include warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service.

  • Expected to supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service.
  • Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the business, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
  • Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed.
  • Provide management oversight of the shipping, receiving and stores coordination of materials required for base maintenance and global support requirements.
  • Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals.
  • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping.
  • Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
  • Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Report to the General Manager on agreed KPI metrics and projects status.
  • Reconcile operational costs and obtain financial approval for purchases/related costs with financial teams.
  • Manage Operating budget for Stores.
  • Support CHC and H1 via responsive actions to correct problems and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate H1 labor requirements and related logistics functions. Hire and train personnel, as well as maintain existing staff current from training and competency perspective.
  • Ensure processes and resources are aligned for Receiving/Warehousing/Shipping.
  • Report on KPI’s, as well as collaborate with Supply Chain to create new ones.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluation of warehouse personnel.
  • Management and oversight of MoI License and Export Control processes.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

What You Will Bring

  • Degree qualified or equivalent with a formal engineering or business qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a logistics supervisory role.
  • Experience in rotary wing operations preferred.
  • Detailed understanding of CHC parts, shipping and logistics processes preferred.
  • Technical knowledge of aircraft maintenance processes and procedures preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Highly Effective communicator, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical thinker with ability to translate this into detailed action plans.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English Warehouse environment. 

 

 

Working Environment

  • Work may require standing and walking for up to 50% of the time.
  • The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are some hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, Machinery, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, or warehouse, with standard office equipment available.
  • Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
