Role Summary

We are looking to hire a Category Coordinator for our operations in Rzeszow, Poland. This role is responsible for the availability of assigned parts in accordance with maintenance requirements for scheduled and unscheduled events, while minimizing total inventory levels and procuring parts from approved vendors at the lowest available cost.

 

This function has an assignment to not only buy the parts for the MODS program, but also being able to lead the program from Supply Chain and interact with the MOJ
contract/design team to manage the added workload and to be the SPOC for the SVG Technical Mod team.

Temporary - 18 months 

Key Responsibilities

Demand Planning  

  • Prepare plans for component demand and associated maintenance activities in accordance with aircraft utilization data submitted by customers and maintenance planning. This includes but not limited to the following:  
  • Prepare ongoing forecast of scheduled and unscheduled component demand through communication with Customer Support Teams and Maintenance Planning 
  • Share ongoing forecast of scheduled and unscheduled component demand with vendors for critical components 
  • Provide Monthly Induction Forecasts to internal workshops and external vendors 
  • Coordinate changes to demand plans with Customer Support Teams and Maintenance Planning 
  • Collaborate on the Global dock plan to understand when the MOJ aircraft will be coming in for heavy
    maintenance as well as for modification and collaborate with CHC aircraft planners and design team to
    order parts in advance of Aircraft inductions.

Order Management  

  • Create core unit return shipments and coordinate return of cores to vendors for exchange orders 
  • Expedite return of unserviceable components from customers to repair facilities  
  • Review and approve repair quotes  
  • Ensure compliance to contract terms  
  • Enforce new product and repair warranty  
  • Identify opportunities to reduce cost and leverage alternative sources and PNs usage 
  • Create/approve work authorization documents to internal and external suppliers  
  • Monitor and expedite overdue deliveries from suppliers and internal workshops 
  • Create Repair orders for internal workshops and external vendors 
  • Communicate priorities to internal workshops and external vendors 
  • Coordinate and document the scrapping of components not able to be returned to serviceable condition 

Order Fulfillment  

  • Ensure supply of serviceable components to customers in accordance with contracts and planned requirement dates  
  • Maintain and monitor target stock/pool levels at bases and hubs in coordination with the integrated planning and forecasting group to support contracts established with customers.  
  • Allocate components for delivery to Aircraft requirements based on priority and requirement dates 
  • Analyze pool sizes and make recommendations for purchase of additional units or units to be moved to Surplus to support fleet 
  • Monitor and expedite deliveries to customers 

 

General  

  • Analyze fill rates for both Air Craft requirements and consignment stock fills  
  • Provide induction forecasts and repair and overhaul costs to finance for budgetary purposes 
  • Liaise with vendors on quality issues in support of safety and quality requirements  
  • Identify components with poor reliability/high cost and interface with Supply Chain to develop and implement solutions  
  • Resolve invoicing issues for finance through communication with vendors  
  • Assist the AOG team if/when required
  • Manage and reports on the part requirement for the modification program.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Planner, preferably within aviation  
  • Background in supply chain/manufacturing environment  
  • Understaning of demand and material management concepts 
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel & Word)
  • MRP System experience (SAP, Oracle, AMOS, etc.)   
  • Detail oriented and mechanically minded  
  • Self-motivated and results oriented with a focus on quality  
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Good English skills, both written and verbal  
  • Excellent collaborative problem solving skills with an ability to implement solutions  
  • Ability to multitask in a rapidly evolving and dynamic environment  
  • Demonstrated team player with excellent interpersonal skills and customer focus  
  • Hands on with the ability to work independently
  • Must have legal rich to live and work in Poland. This is not a remote role.
