Role Summary

We currently have an opportunity for a Staff Accountant.  The position is responsible for assisting with our monthly, quarterly and yearly corporate accounting requirements and various statutory reporting requirements.

 

Staff Accountant

Workplace: Jasionka (near Rzeszów)

Type of employment: Permanent, Contract of employment

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete Poland VAT reconciliation and reporting
  • Prepare required reconciliations
  • Preparing policy of fixed assets for H1 Poland (compatibility with corporate policy of fixed assets)
  • Manage H1 Poland fixed assets (to comply with Polish requirements)
  • Assist with the Corp. Income Tax (CIT)
  • Support with receiving withholding tax certificates
  • Coordinate with external Auditors / regulators
  • Assist with period-end accounting close process
  • Reviewing AR invoices (if compatible with polish regulations)
  • Preparing and posting journal entries
  • GUS reporting

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

Required Qualifications 

  • Essential
    • Bachelor degree in Accounting
    • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent
    • Experience 3+ years’ experience in accounting (in addition to education requirement)
    • Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close process
  • Desirable
    • Public Accounting experience
    • Previous accounting experience in multi-company/multi-currency environment
    • Previous experience with Infor M3 accounting system

Skills/Experience:

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and focused on quality
  • Ability to interact internal staff at all levels (e.g., Managers, VPs, and sr. executives)
  • Must be proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Must be independent and able to work in a team-based environment to meet monthly deadlines and goals
  • Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, communication (written and oral), and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to work the hours necessary to enable the business to meet required deadlines
  • Ability to manage several time-sensitive activities simultaneously
  • Ability to identify and help drive process improvement initiatives
  • Must have legal right to live and work in Poland
