Role Summary

Heli-One has an exciting opportunity for a Category Sourcing Specialist within its Indirect Category Team.  This high-profile position will be accountable to build and execute the procurement strategies for Norway and assigned global category(ies) of indirect (non-aircraft) spend. This position provides a unique opportunity to support a variety of spend categories within a global organization. On any given day, you could be working with colleagues and suppliers from any of our locations, which may include Australia, Brazil, Canada, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Scotland, and the US.

 

The successful candidate will be able to transform their skills to deliver cost savings and process improvements through outstanding negotiation skills, strong financial & analytical skills and your ability to forge strong relationships across the organization and with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and execute annual procurement strategy in partnership with key stakeholders
  • Accountable to drive cost savings and process / other improvements
  • Lead the end to end sourcing process including project strategy, project team, the RFP process through to contract negotiation and transition to steady state/implementation.
  • Conduct financial analysis on a large set of data and use the analysis to formulate strategies and opportunities.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for savings and other efficiencies and execute approved initiatives
  • Support implementation of vendor management to ensure contracts are transitioned into the steady state, roles are defined and support the ongoing compliance and performance of selected vendors including conducting business reviews with key vendors
  • Validation of savings and preparation of compliance and other reports for management
  • Support global programs in region including support of the travel, credit card, facilities and procurement programs as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • May require international travel

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

Required:

  • Bachelor (or similar) formal education
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain with a focus on Strategic Sourcing
  • Outstanding negotiation skills with demonstrated experience in leading large complex projects ($1m+)
  • Experience in leading a global project
  • Success in process improvement in support of improving business models and plans
  • Self-motivated and results oriented with a focus on quality
  • Excellent listening and verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Team player with excellent collaborative problem solving skills with an ability to find and implement solutions
  • Strong relationship building skills with ability to forge solid relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Flexibility and adaptability are key in this role as it will support multiple time zones and requires flexible working hours
  • Ability to lead in a rapidly evolving and dynamic environment
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word) and generating report

Nice to Have:

  • Supply Chain designation
  • Project Management Experience 
  • General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.
  • The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
  • Work may require occasional early morning or evening work.
