Role Summary

Heli-One Canada is looking for a Manager, Support Equipment/Calibration at their Delta, BC location. 

 

As the Support Equipment and Calibration Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of support equipment management and calibration within our organization. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that all support equipment used in various operations meets the required standards and is properly calibrated to maintain accuracy and efficiency. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, managerial skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain EGBC Professional Practice Management Plan (PPMP) for Heli-One Canada.
  • Develop and implement strategies for the procurement, maintenance, and disposal of support equipment.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to identify equipment needs and ensure timely acquisition.
  • Design and maintain a comprehensive calibration program to ensure the accuracy and reliability of measurement and testing equipment.
  • Schedule and coordinate calibration activities in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Analyze calibration data to identify trends, deviations, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Stay abreast of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices related to support equipment and calibration.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, addressing any findings and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Liaise with various departments (e.g., operations, engineering, quality assurance) to understand equipment requirements and support their needs.
  • Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and external service providers to ensure timely support and maintenance services.
  • May perform other duties as required to support production needs.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

  • Registered as a Professional Engineer with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC)
  • Responsible Registrant as required by the EGBC and the BC Professional Governance Act.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in equipment management, calibration, or a related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of calibration principles, techniques, and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership abilities with a track record of effectively managing teams and projects.
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., CAD, calibration management systems, MS Office).
