Role Summary

We seek a dynamic sales leader - Location: Vancouver or Dallas preferred. Other North American locations will be considered.

 

You will have responsibility to drive the revenue growth of Heli-One reporting to the General Manager, Sales, Commercial & Customer Support. The Head of Sales will have responsibility for leadership of the global sales team to develop the sales strategy and then to manage, motivate and support the team to execute the strategy. The ideal candidate will be a skilful relationship builder and negotiator themselves as well as skilful in managing and coaching others. Experience in US Military sales will be a distinct advantage. Location: Vancouver or Dallas preferred. Other North American locations will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales strategy to achieve short and long-term goals of the company.
  • Lead the sales team by directing their activities, managing their workload, supporting their development and coaching.
  • Support the sales team in negotiations and take the lead as required.
  • Lead the company’s response to opportunities, including developing creative business cases and support concepts and gaining internal stakeholder buy-in.
  • Provide leadership to the internal management team on understanding the market and developing strategic plans of the company.
  • Provide ongoing reporting on sales opportunities and progress of the sales team towards targets.
  • Act as the focal point for information on customers and market opportunities, in particular for sales forecasting needs and to support the company’s Sales and Operations Planning process.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the sales team’s processes, tools and performance

 

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

  • A university Bachelor’s Degree. MBA in addition is preferable.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in aviation and preferably in the helicopter industry. Experience in US Military sales will be a distinct advantage.
  • Outstanding customer skills and business acumen with a strategic approach.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to build and leverage customer relationships in a global environment. Preferably an extensive network in the helicopter industry.
  • Strong technical understanding and ability to deal with technical concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on longer term sales strategies for new market penetration
  • Strong leadership skill with the ability to motivate and manage a team as well as provide leadership to other functions to enable Heli-One to provide competitive offerings to the market.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated process-improvement skills.
  • Excellent collaborative problem solving skills and creativity with an ability to implement pragmatic solutions.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated team player.
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Powerpoint and Salesforce
